Re: Enclosure for freeEMS

Nice find! Most cases readily available here are either much more expensive or look way rougher.

Re: Footprint for Adapt9S12XDP512 RC1

Here we go, a first release of Adapt footprint with schematics symbol. It should filter to correct footprint, but it's still missing most descriptions Consider it 0.1 release :) It's compressed with relative paths, so the files should decompress to their correct directories. The footprint is fully r...

Re: Light snow in the "midlands"

About the same we have in Finland... well perhaps here's a bit more. Shame really, winter driving in proper snow and ice is FUN:(

Re: FreeEMS Goals discussion

Distributor ignition is in fact not an output issue, it's input. You can make a distributor ignition out of anything just by splicing the ignition signals into one and running it into spark box; what is different is the system does not expect sync signal. Some CAS setups are inherently cylinder orde...

Re: FreeEMS Goals discussion

I'd find it not good to exclude single coil and injector. The code shouldn't make a difference whether running single or a bunch, and doing so would exclude two minor, but realistic targets; small motorcycles and karts. Using two ECUs side by side promotes more complex wiring, and keeping the stock ...

Re: FreeEMS Goals discussion

2-stroke is still doing great in the sport snow mobiles, and it isn't too long ago when did in motorcycles too; the first version of FreeEMS might be a bit too bulky for most motorcycles, but it's still a possibility.

Re: FreeEMS Goals discussion

Good good!

Definite goals are important to keep the design process in line and predictable.

I think though there should be timing options for two-stroke and rotary engines, even if the traditional crank case induction two stroke is becoming history on most applications.

Re: Future retail price/release date betting game

My guesses... I'd think MS3 might be out in 2012+, and cost perhaps around 500USD Ultra megasquirt, this thing might break into a modular kit and won't be available as one single unit. Sequencer board, I'm thinking of mid-2009 and 500USD... FreeEMS, now that would be interesting to guess :) With the...

Re: Footprint for Adapt9S12XDP512 RC1

The schematics component is almost finished, but I want to make sure it works with the module footprint without a hitch, so I'll be releasing them together.
