Re: Widebands That You Would or Wouldn't Buy

Since you talked directly to them, bottom line, are they claiming the MTX-L+ is faster than the x-series devices? However it is measured ? I didn't ask. They just said the new hardware wouldn't ship until 2nd quarter. I just spoke to them briefly when I finally got a chance to walk around the show....

Re: Widebands That You Would or Wouldn't Buy

"The Innovate "Direct Digital" technology can make a complete lambda reading in one cycle. With a typical pump frequency of 300Hz, the Innovate wideband can produce a valid reading in less than 4ms." Sounds pretty specific. I don't get that logic. If the source signal is updatin...

Re: Widebands That You Would or Wouldn't Buy

The phrasing chosen makes it sound like it just just increasing the analog frequency. Will have to see how it affects sensor response on that output (if any). They specifically mentioned increasing the sensor frequency to 300Hz ( from their current ~20Hz ). Even the old, faster LC-1 was only around...

Re: Widebands That You Would or Wouldn't Buy

The ADV, according to the datasheet's warm-up procedure, is MUCH more resistant to thermal shock damage. This is why it can heat up as fast as it does. But, it seems to pay a price in other respects. Yeah, they really let you slam the heater power on hard and fast. And it does seem that this was th...

Re: Widebands That You Would or Wouldn't Buy

I'm actually curious on the data of the LSU 4.9 and LSU 4.9 ADV is the ADV (non pre-turbo) a more robust sensor? Just to be clear, the ADV is not a 4.9 sensor, its not the 4.9 ADV, its just the ADV. It is not compatible with a controller set up for the 4.9. The ADV-preTurbo version uses an inconel ...

Re: Widebands That You Would or Wouldn't Buy

Interesting, I have LSU4.9 document where is this pressure comp. curve. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-jdbR97YJhvw/VwZrQa4eMSI/AAAAAAAAHkk/4C2ZDX2MyDIUSpvgyJK-jggtz6LQPmulwCCo/s800-Ic42/LSU4_9_pressurecomp.png Also, Bosch MS6.x ECU software has correction like this. https://lh3.googleuserconten...

Re: Widebands That You Would or Wouldn't Buy

I would "suspect" it has to with the point of the ADV, being for pre turbo applications. I've seen one in a oem car. Also I believe the design tolerates higher temps than the 4.9 and 4.2 does. It would surprise me in order to meet the goals it was setup for that was one of the penalties i...

Re: Widebands That You Would or Wouldn't Buy

Ironically, AEM has a back-pressure sensor compensation kit for their Bosch sensor devices. While the Bosch sensors ( which also have a specified pressure curve ) have around 1/4 of the error, due to pressure, as compared to the NTK units, need it less... I don't see anything ironic about aem havin...

Re: Widebands That You Would or Wouldn't Buy

It's shocking how much more error the ADV has over the 4.9 and 4.2

Here you go.
This is all the Bosch 4.2 spec says about error due to backcpressure
This is all the Bosch 4.2 spec says about error due to backcpressure
They expanded their information in the 4.9 spec.
They expanded their information in the 4.9 spec.
and more in the ADV
