Re: Widebands That You Would or Wouldn't Buy

The LCD does not work, which is what created this update in the first place - I've got an arduino nano coming my way, which will allow me to do some proper testing on the LCD to see if that's the issue or the board translating the serial data to the LCD. The unit does not require the free air calibr...

Re: Widebands That You Would or Wouldn't Buy

Does it still work from time to time, or is it pretty much dead? Would you be interested in doing a swap for a SLC DIY2? It should be working, but can't seem to get the zeitronix software to pickup any data from it - There's another local controller for sale I can pick up if you want to do a trade ...

Re: Understanding Chips on wideband controller

You're exactly on the track that I am. I checked all solder joints and even pin-pointed the different solders to the different chip pins. All checked out. The LCD is actually the 16-pin kyocera C-51505 LCD linked above. I'd like to verify that the LCD really is the problem, by using some sort of sim...

Re: BeagleBone Wideband

Sometimes knowing what to google for, is almost as important as knowing the answer to your question :) Found this, which should be modifiable to do what you want: http://www.instructables.com/id/Arduino-analog-input-display/ , run your 0-5v signal in, in place of the potentiometer output and you sh...

Re: Understanding Chips on wideband controller

Thanks Ivan for the input - Is there anyway for me to figure out what that 'mainstream' microcontroller is, so that I can lookup the pins? Or are all QFP microcontroller with a standard pin layout and thus only need to do a lookup based on the number of pins. What I'm trying to do, by understanding ...

Understanding Chips on wideband controller

I'm sure some of you are more apt to answer, but I was wondering if someone could explain the functionality of 2 chips: - MC98SR12 (Motorola) - MAX2321 (Texas Instrument) The MC98SR12 seems to be a UART type chip, but I couldn't find any specs on it. Anyone have a link? The MAX2321 (on this zt-2 con...

Re: BeagleBone Wideband

Malcom, Thanks for the info, I do agree that it is an overkill, I wasn't sure if the arduino clones would have enough inputs to support it and also if it required some low-level programming that i'm not familiar with. I'll lookup some of these arduino clones to see if I can get my wideband controlle...

BeagleBone Wideband

This will be a very noobish kinda post, but trying to wrap my head around all of this. While looking through possible updates to my current setup (zt-2 with Boost+AFR display) it dawned on me that there weren't that many controllers out there that did just that. Take the 0-5V from a wideband and dis...

Re: Widebands That You Would or Wouldn't Buy

With this being my first post, I wanted to add some info on the Zeitronix wideband. I've been using the wideband for quite some time, and have found the display to be convenient, since it shows lambda, afr, boost, etc. without having to switch. I haven't used the device in a while and now can't seem...
