I'm not awesome...I'm just super.
I do make a copy each time it's saved and stuff into a history directory. However, I don't (yet) have any comparison utility or diff details. Once I get the basics under control, I'll revisit.

Re: Virtual Dash configuration....store where?
Thanks for the feedback Ivan. For the UI.. The way you describe it is pretty close to what I have now. I too like having control, but I was trying to simplify if possible. It may make things worse, however. I have buttons at the bottom of each screen that read/write to the ECU (the ram). Originally ...

Virtual Dash configuration....store where?
I'm in the process of coding up a UI for my custom ECU & I've been playing with gauges. https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/350x201q90/716/x433.png Here's a thread that has a few more pics & a description on how I created them. http://forum.diyefi.org/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2410 Anyhow, the ...

I understand where you're coming from in trying to start with what you're comfortable with, but if your ultimate goal is to have the XDP512....START WITH IT!!! You will save time in the long run. Maybe think about doing it backwards. Start with the latest/greatest and if for some reason you stall ou...

Re: Injector Testing Fred/FreeEMS Style - COMMENTS
If the can works, it's tough to beat free. :D You're timing on this post is great, BTW. I'm just now gearing up to do some similar testing & it would be interesting to have both setups test the exact same injector (under same set of conditions of course) to see what differences occur between the...

Re: Injector Testing Fred/FreeEMS Style - COMMENTS
FWIW, I bought some of these cylinders to test injectors with. $13 shipped and the quality seems more than fine for what we are trying to accomplish. I wanted 6 of them, but decided I could get by with just two for now. Eventually, I'd like to build a nice dedicated test/flow bench & these shoul...

Re: Virtual Dash Solutions?
I'm using Borland C++ Builder. I went ahead last night and coded up some gauges & the structures needed to give me some basic skin functionality. I didn't add in the socket connection, but that's pretty easy for me. I've done some socket server/clients with Borland and have other projects I can ...

Virtual Dash Solutions?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew of some virtual dash applications that accept their input via an ethernet socket. I have a gui front end to communicate with my ecu & I implemented a down and dirty virtual dash just for testing. Currently I just read the ECU and control my widgets directly on ...

Re: determine engine load with MAP or MAF??
I just do the math, too, except for static components of it. I do have a base pulse width, but this is before things that intentionally alter lambda or are there to ensure lambda remains what is desired. IE, warm up and tip in and cylinder trim, etc. I find the "pre-calc everything" way v...

Re: determine engine load with MAP or MAF??
saw some more questions I didn't answer.. Not sure of what the "timing window" is you ask about, but as covered elsewhere for batch fired, it pretty much doesn't matter when you squirt the fuel, just be consistent. For IAT sensor curves, if you look you can find them for a lot of stock sen...
