Re: FreeEMS Podcast Topic Ideas & Requests

I look forward to seeing you in front of a camera Fred! I know a lot of people that I might can get to watch. One is bent on making an efi from old PC mobos. Maybe when my project is farther along, I will stick a camera on it. This user isn't camera shy, but I do prefer to know what I am talking abo...

Re: VW Golf -89 Street/Trackday Car with ELMicro CardS12

The pin out on the ravage.pdf (column 6 at the top) shows PT2, 3 and 4 for both an ignitor and an injector. Has this changed and which is correct?

Re: Mazda Rotary

Injectors- We typically plan the 550s at 300 hp for 4, it keeps the duty cycle down. In the beginning some guys used LT1 GM coils and GM injectors, then Ford injectors, and down the line only to find that after 5 hours at 6000 rpm they burn up. The GM coils cant handle the high duty cycle, and the i...

Re: Mazda Rotary

I know it is an ND CAS, it is cast into the body. I did not know how many engines it was used in though. I admire your enthusiasm for the project, it has to take a lot of your time. Will the missing top tooth (i.e. 24 and 1) cause any problems with ignition? You mentioned staged injectors earlier- I...

Re: Mazda Rotary

Fred- in our developer notes you made the comment about everyone using the images that you have on the github page. Do you have an image for the Mazda 24/2 CAS? I would like to start with a baseline image before I start hacking, it might make things go faster from this end. After the system is teste...

Re: Mazda RX7 stock CAS decoder

Fred, I bought 2 of Jean Belangers' VR boards, and earlier I bought his low impedance injector driver board. As soon as I get some of these other peoples planes out of the way- (it seems that work always gets in the way of the important things :), I will get back to work on the EFI and my own plane....

Manual Injector PWM control

My engine will operate from sea level to altitudes exceeding 20,000 feet, where the air is much less dense. Also, during cruise it is often very advantageous to lean the mixture to well below the 14.7:1 to extend the range of the flight. The air is so thin at high altitudes, that it often takes 60 t...
