Re: What should I look for in a used Oscilloscope
All they had, as usual was broken, old and overpriced!!! I'm not gonna pay $150 dollars for a broken scope when the Fry's has a new one for 315.

Re: What should I look for in a used Oscilloscope
Thanks for the advice!!! I thought my math was wrong, but it was late so I was more interested in going to bed. I am going to check discount electronics surplus in Arlington and see if I can find something good. Thanks again!!!

What should I look for in a used Oscilloscope
I want to help, so I am looking for a scope. I don't really know the difference between one that will work for you guys are doing, but mainly automotive signals and triggers. I THINK I might know but I like to assume I don't until I KNOW otherwise. So let me know any input you have or if I am on the...

Re: DIY Etching pre-alpha
Freaking awesome!!!
That link www.thinktink.com is a great resource!!! It tells how to electroplate, which i might do instead, and activate the hole walls. I was dreading what I was going to have to do to simulate activated hole walls.
Thanks,

Re: DIY Etching pre-alpha
Bummer, I got the blank transparencies in hand and I'm standing next to a laser printer... I'm not too worried about drilling, I intend to make a second mask for the holes and I think my hardware store has a "drill-press like" attachment for my Dremel. Combined with a few tiny carbide bits...

DIY Etching pre-alpha
Following some guides I found on the internet I am going to try to Etch a board or two and see what happens, or if it would be reasonable. I might make a guide specific to DIYEFI etching. I just have two questions that would help if I had the answer to. 1. From the looks of things, no components are...

Re: Potential Bulk Buy for FreeEMS first edition PCB
This probably isn't the place cause this seems off topic, but you said something that made me think. So theoretical you could populate a board for minimum running reqs, and then upgrade later to a much more complicated system? i.e. Batch fire at first, and then rebuild the board for seq? If so THAT ...

Re: V8/10/12 Sequencial Injection
Hmmm I haven't seen anyone comment about the use of 2 freeEMS's both as 4 cyls to control both banks sequenctialy for 8 or 12 cyls. I don't think this would be too bad to tune, provided you know enough to tune 1 unit well. Just program one to read the timing signal offset of what the other reads, a...

Re: FreeEMS revision A version 1 first edition PCB feeler
if it wasn't dependant on price, I'd have as many Motecs or better. basicaly what I can afford, given the features, timing, Bill of materials ect. If it is everything I want, which it sounds like, for under 300 TOTAL for each unit, (obviously much less for bare pcbs) then I want one for each of my p...
