FYI if anyone wish to use PADS for PCB design, I have made PCB templates suitable for ModIce enclosures. ...although I really don't believe that anybody wants to use PADS just because of its "competitive" pricing; schematic licence is "only" ~500USD while basic layout/PCB licence...

Mostly I have used PADS at work, but I am well familiar also with Orcad, Altium and and Eagle, and to these I have licences to all but Eagle through my job. I've used TLP18* as generic optocouplers, well available in SMD packages. E.g. TLP184 is quad open-collector optocoupler. Not very tiny but significantly smaller than 4x DIL6 or its SMD "gullwing" counterpart. Quite cheap and performance similar to 4N25 or 4N35 types, and if I remember cor...
