Speaking of waking from the dead. Hi...
I have been doing everything but automotive stuff. I will be paying more attention here and trying to get up to speed with all the changes. I see TI still has the TPIC8101 listed as active. That is a good thing. For MCU my focus has changed to XMEGA now.

Re: Knock sensing ideas and circuit designs
The TPIC8101 / HIP9011 is on my board, well, will be in the next turn. I saw it as a easy path to basic knock sensing. Delayed now since I got the layoff. Have time but funds are tight. The wife would have a fit if I spent on PCB's now. Cylinder by cylinder knock sense may be massive over kill. I ag...

Re: Jaguar XJ12L crossbreed
I love this interweb thing that Al Gore invented
I took a look in what I think is AG's driveway via google street view, the view is a bit fuzzy but it looks like there is a 80's Camaro sitting in the driveway! Well shoot me with poo and kill me for stinking

Re: Jaguar XJ12L crossbreed
I just eyeballed the efi332 page where it mentions it was running in Al's Camaro. But here is a excerpt from a early version of the MS manual that confirms BB's Jag/Chevy combo. ........... For an example, look at the sample VE table later in this section. It is the default MegaSquirt table, from th...

Re: Jaguar XJ12L crossbreed
The way I remember it was that B or G I don't recall which at the moment had a Jag Chevy conversion and wanted to ditch the carb and retrofit a tuned port injection system (ah la camaro firebird corvette 85 to 91 ish) and / or were not happy with running it with the oem ecu IIRC, That's why MS is cl...

Re: Jaguar XJ12L crossbreed
You do remember what need started MS right? But I am not that dude, but I do live in the same state in the general area. Some knuckle head might mistake me for someone else and make a incorrect assumption and think the MS cool aid has worn off and I (misidentified) have gone over to the dark side (D...

Jaguar XJ12L crossbreed
It has a Chevy small block conversion with a carb right now but is going to get a TPI setup as soon as hardware is available. I have most of the engine side stuff already. I am wondering if I should put up a few pics or remain anonymous? I will have to blank out the license plates if I do.

Re: V8/10/12 Sequencial Injection
I would like to put in a vote for covering V8s. In my hot rod crowd any box that could not do 8 sequential and 8 spark is not all that attractive. I hear ya about the "not a big deal with more cylinders" its a lot about the perceived limitation. Oh and I need stepper motor IAC too :D Maybe...

Re: Reverse Polarity and Over Voltage Protection Design
A crowbar seems a bit over kill to me, more parts, more space, more cost. Can we not depend on the input voltage rating of the regulators not to pass a surge on? A zener diode to blow the input fuse on over the regulator rating V and reversed polarity seems enough for me. <KISS>
