Re: VGT turbo VE compensation discussion?
Some very intersting points you make that would be very useful to Aero(if his car ever runs again!).But, your turbo has a pneumatic actuator. I have no choice but to use electronics because of the way the CHRA is designed. THe actuator on my turbo is hydraulically actuated by the engine oil that coo...

Re: VGT turbo VE compensation discussion?
OK, I finally got him interested, he found PCBs that will work for cheap and hes getting started on planning/math/code. The idea is here to control the vanes by using MAP and RPM as inputs since VE is tuned using these two key inputs. Keep the vanes more or less open in high vacuum situations for fu...

Re: VGT turbo VE compensation discussion?
I have an intelligent friend who is interested in my Garrett turbo/VGT tomfoolery. He also happens to have an Integra with an engine capable of handling the power. Hopefully this spring we will get some testing done..

Re: 88 Mazda 626 Garrett GT3782VA VGT MS2E
His wife decided go grow a pot belly so he's selling it. Sorry to break the news. Fred. Now, Fred, WE(my wife and I) decided she would grow a potbelly...I just didn't think I would get it on the first shot! To quote one of my closest frieds when I told him "you must have some strong swimmers!&...

HA! I would need to go to school again. Thats not happening because I don't have time. I wouldn't know where to start.
What is git?
I have no clue with code.
A circuit I can build with instructions. I'm working on basic electronics right now. It'll be awhile.

Re: 88 Mazda 626 Garrett GT3782VA VGT MS2E
I have no position or speed monitor, i'm just roughly controlling the boost with the DC table. I installed a WG this weekend, so i will change the DC table and let the WG control excess boost. Seriously Fred, If I was half as smart as you are in the computer/electronics field I would already have a ...

88 Mazda 626 Garrett GT3782VA VGT MS2E
Well, here it is. My 88 626 is really just a glorified test mule for whatever I can think up. This is the latest project. The turbo is from a 6.0L Ford Powerstroke diesel engine. I am a Ford technician, so they are easy to come by. The turbo features VGT(Variable Geometry Turbine) technology. If you...

Re: Holset HE351VE VGT Turbo (NO 56K)
That is some tough luck. That is why I put my own engines together. If it makes you feel any better, I have killed 2 4g63s so far in my life, though more due to youth and ignorance, not wrong parts. I hope someone in this situation will come clean for their f*ckup and help you out.
good luck.
good luck.
