Re: Max Square Wave Latency
Hey Dan, I think it is great that you performed this testing! Would you be able to summarize the data captured into a table for easy consumption? I ask because I am having a hard time understanding why configuration (6) is noted as the preferred choice in the related thread. I went back to the origi...

Re: Wanted - Mercedes Intake Assy
Thank you very much Stefan for doing this for us. Winter will soon be here and we are hoping that this will help keep the engine running smoothly after the glow plugs turn off. As far as the carbon build-up, my son is the "black crap" parts cleaning expert as he needs to do this on almost ...

Spiral Intake Air Heater -
It has a M22 x 1.5 thread and is about 65mm long from the seating plane (just above the threaded section) to the end of the spiral heating element.
It draws about 60A @ 12V.
Thanks,
Huff

Re: Wanted - Mercedes Intake Assy
OK, I'll stay as "Huff"(2) :) Stefan, I usually sign my posts "Huff" because when Fred and I worked together a couple of years ago, he said that I reminded him of his friend "Huff" (now deceased) I think mainly because I smoke. But because you were using your "real...

Re: Wanted - Mercedes Intake Assy
Hi Stefan, Please don't spend another second thinking about the welding / bung as we will find a way to do this here. I wasn't trying to be "Cheeky" :D when asking about it, but with all the amazing / wild mechanical projects that I have seen on this site, I just thought that it couldn't h...

Re: Wanted - Mercedes Intake Assy
To Stefan, Thank you very much for working on this. If you ever need something from USA, please let me know. Also, by any chance are you a mechanical / welding wizard? We need to somehow weld an aluminum(?) bung (M22 X 1.5) onto this throttle body in order to accomodate the spiral heater we plan on ...

Re: General Purpose Low Level Ignition Drive
The ON site doesn't seem to list the MC34152 as an active part number (only the MC33152 and NCV33152). Also, the MC34152 is only rated 0 - 70C.Dan wrote:.... MC34152 (replacement for MC33152) ...

Re: Power Supply Design - Input Protection Scheme
Not trying to be funny, just concise this time : ) Assumptions - uC analog input pin has an internal clamp diode to 5vdc-cpu. External schottky diode clamped to 5vdc-analog. LM2937 = 4.75 to 5.25V If (IntClampFwdDropV + 5vdc-cpu) < (ExtClampFwdDropV +5vdc-analog) Then current from input short to bat...

Re: Power Supply Design - Input Protection Scheme
I think there may have another related problem. When I posted this - ... but then realized that because there are seperate 5V supplies, the differenct output voltages might be far enough apart to cause the clamp diodes to start conducting even with no fault. it was in regards to a solution that I pr...

Re: Wanted - Mercedes Intake Assy
Hi Stefan, A used part would be fine. If you can find one, please let me know what the total cost (part+shipping/handling+your time) would be in US dollars and I can PayPal you that amount. For shipping estimate, I live in zip code 60174 (Saint Charles, Illinoise, USA). I can provide you with the ex...
