Re: Where FreeEMS sits in the "market"
I see this system competing with (in australian terms) Wolf3d, Haltech E6K, EMS stinger, Microtech LT8s etc etc. Basically the bottom of the proper EFI market. You'de be surprised just how little processing power are in some of these. The Autronic SM4/Motec M4-6-800 range etc are obviously high pow...

Re: LCD license plate cover
Can you just focus some high power infrared leds on the plate so that any ccd element that tries to take a picture gets saturated.... Yes this works. Space them at about one inch intervals around the plate. When a photo is taken it will just look "blazing". To prove this use the "let...

Re: Unsupported engine platforms (what is there?)
I acquired the VEMS hardware and used a lot of time to figure out how to handle this engine. In my case a Maserati V6. Then I found the platform was not open source anymore and the hardware landed in the junkbox. End of project! OK, so how much do you want for the VEMS hardware? Is is 3.3, 3.2, or ...

Re: Why 16BIT? Why Not 32BIT?
We are a fan of this brand, however this model is not suitable for automotive applications, according to the manufacture. NB Automotive is a very harsh and demanding application... "AVR XMEGA microcontrollers have the same acclaimed characteristics as the established AVR devices, and operates f...

Re: LPG Injection
Have a look at the site. It is a new system that injects liquid LPG directly into the ports, hence the need for full sequential injection. No mixers or evaporators but requires a different tank and pump. This has a cooling effect (similar to nitrous) and displaces less air during the intake cycle. ...

Re: FreeEMS revision A version 1 first edition PCB feeler
If the work is sent out to a decent PCB House, they will ensure that the designer has not made any silly mistakes, and will double check and clarify all areas. Conversely if you go to the cheapest, they will subscribe to the retail idiom. "The customer is always right". With the safe expre...

Re: Unsupported engine platforms (what is there?)
60-2 is best for lower rpm engines, for really high spinners 36-1 is a better choice. high/low boundary = 8k or so I guess. Is it really down to a GM (60-2) vs Ford (36-1) situation? If this is so why have not the Ford MotorSport apps gone this route? The early Cosworth used the Weber/Magniti Marre...

Re: Strange O2 guage behaviour in Megatune Help
I have checked that my make and type of WB O2 controller is selected it is a Techedge Linear 0 to 5V 9 to 19 AFR in the configurator file, the setting in th MSQ is single wideband. The really weird thing is when i change the gauge to EGO V it works as it should indicating 0 to 5 V and the readings ...
