So...How do I keep from blowing up my scope.
Hey guys. I picked up a new Rogold 50 MHz scope. Really like it - I'm really glad I spent the money. Re: Intercooler thermocouples?
Yea, I think I'll go with a open element GM IAT sensor - although I hear that some have vibration problems. But at least bungs in aluminum and steel are readily available.

Re: Intercooler thermocouples?
Thanks jharvey. And interesting link.
But I think I'll just stick with a OEM part that has a thread so it can be installed with a bung.

Intercooler thermocouples?
Does anyone know of a good supplier for a thermocouple that would work well, and mount up nicely to the in and out of an Intercooler? I'd like to be able to read incoming temps, outgoing temps, and calculate the difference. but I can't seem to find a nice pre-made automotive thermocouple? Any advice?

time lapse footage only a nerd could love....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkdaulXXs2Q It's about 12 hours compressed to 3 mins of me "kitting" up some dual op-amp based "poor man's" PWM light driver. I build the board start-to-finish. Get in the raw single sided copper clad boards, do a toner transfer, etch using HCl/HOO2...

Re: Bench top power supply....
That is impressive. I have nothing against building a PS from scratch - but I just have too many unfinished projects as it is - last thing I need is to be banging my head against the wall with another one. I'm building some custom automotive gauges (volt, AFR, ect) so I want something with a real ni...
