Is it OK / Legal to post an image link to the MSIII external wiring diagram or do I need to kill this post?

Re: Connector considerations
Thank you for the welcome! Sorry if I offended anyone with my comment about MSIII. I have been watching the threads on the MSIII board for quite a while and haven't been able to find much progress. When the MSIII forum started I purposed this stacking / separate connector board idea and was very qui...

Re: Controlling the sequential injection.
So is the plan to dedicate an I/O line to each Fuel injector and handle the timing in software with interrupts? Is the cpu so fast that this is a non issue? I don't have a clue which is why I am asking? So 8 fuel injectors. Each turning on at a particular point of crank angle and then turning off at...

Controlling the sequential injection.
A quick review of the MegaSquirt sequencer shows an additional 9S12X processor just to handle the sequencing with some sort of multiplexed arrangement. Has anyone given any consideration to how to handle this functionality? I will throw out an idea: Programmable timers, something like the CTS9513 or...

Re: FET driver discussion
Could some explain the pros/cons of using a FET vs. an IGBT for driving ignition and injectors?

OPTO-22 solidstate relays for Ignition/Inj drivers?
http://www.crouzet-usa.com/catalog/gordos/standard_output.pdf Would these OPTO-22 ODC5 5-60VDC solid state relays work for Ignition / Fuel injector drivers? The specs I think would be crucial are .1mS max turn on and .75mS max turn off times. I am just trying to think of ways to get a prototype up ...

AD12DXXYZSM stepper driver board to drv Injects/Ign?
It looks to me like the AD12DXXYZSM http://www.technologicalarts.ca/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=50_154_157&products_id=251 stepper driver board will handle 4amps at 48 volts per channel? With 12 channels it would seem to me that this board would allow someone to run 8 injectors and 4 coils (w...

Re: Connector considerations
Hmmmm..... Could we leave room on the connector board for the power relays and fuses so I can use the terminal strip as my only interface without having a MegaSquirt relayboard? After cutting off the connectors I don't need I would almost have something more convenient than a microsquirt!

Re: Connector considerations
http://www.hitechengineering.net/DNN/Portals/0/megasquirt/interfaceboard.png To me the solution seems VERY simple. The connector board should support a DB37 with pinouts compatible with Megasquirt/JimStim, an Amphenol connector and a screw terminal strip all on the same board. If someone doesn't wa...
